Video resources for performance filters

Why does performance and precision matter for light pollution filters? If the filters are made without the right quality control the position of the bandpasses can be shifted so that peak of the bandpass might only transmit a tiny fraction of your target wavelengths such as Ha and OIII. Add to that many manufacturers quote their theoretical transmission percentages (if we did this our transmission percentages are >99.99%) while the coated values will be lower. Leviathan Spectral Pros are precision coated, we only advertise our measured transmission percentages and wavelengths. When you need to know you are getting >98% of your Ha and OIII, Leviathan Spectral Pro is the filter for you. The video by dark sky geek below gives a really good explanation that can come with some filters.

When do you need an F/2 filter? If you are using fast optics or obscured optics. Or, you want a filter that you won't outgrow. No matter the telescope you own now or a telescope you own in 10 years, the Spectral Pro will be compatible. Cuiv has a great video explaining why F/2 filter specifications matter for your astrophotography setup.
